JCAM Buses
Before we explain what JCAM Buses are we'll explain what JCAM is exactly. JCAM stands for Jason City Area Metro JCAM is responsible for providing transportation to the residents and visitors of greater Jason City and parts of Jason County. JCAM mainly operates within city limits. We do have a few routes that cross into Jason County that offer connection with Jason County Transit. JCAM has been in operation since 2021 our motto is "We Take Great Pride In Providing You Safe 5 Gold Star Public Transportation." JCAM Buses are pretty much what they're called as they are the buses we use on all of our Local Regular Service Routes. Our standard regular routes provide normal daily regular service all day all around town. Wait times may vary depending on the route that the bus is on. Layover times are 10 minutes long after arriving and stopping at the dedicated route destination stop completely before the bus is allowed to depart from each end of the route after the bus has waited for exactly 10 minutes. Buses are never allowed to leave late or early for any reason.
Here's a pic of what most of the JCT Fleet will look like since the Gillig BRT and BRT Plus are the workhorses for Jason County Transit however just like JCAM there's several different vehicles used

JCT Buses
Before we explain what JCT Buses are we'll explain what JCT is exactly. JCT stands for Jason County Transit and if you ask no JCT is not its own agency its a brand owned and operated by JCAM that is responsible for providing service to residents, commuters, and visitors outside of Jason City into Pleasant Valley, Iowa and the entire Jason County area. There are JCT Buses are the buses that we use on all of our Express and Local routes in Jason County & Pleasant Valley. Most of these routes offer connection and transfer to JCAM. JCT is a newer brand that began operation in 2024 JCT's motto is "We are dedicated to providing public mass transit within Jason County, Iowa and the surrounding area". Wait times may vary depending on the route that the bus is on. Layover time is 10 minutes long after arriving and stopping at the dedicated route destination stop completely before the bus is allowed to depart from each end of the route after the bus has waited for exactly 10 minutes. Buses are never allowed to leave early for any reason.

Our Trolley Buses are what are used on the 31 Downtown Trolley operated by Gillig Hybrid-Electric Trolley Buses. Wait times for the trolley can vary depending on how many trolleys are out on route. Layover time is 10 minutes long after arriving and stopping at the dedicated route destination completely before the bus is allowed to depart from each end of the route after the bus has waited for exactly 10 minutes. Buses are never allowed to leave early for any reason.
Here's a photo of one of our R-Line Buses. Like we've mentioned before the R-Line Fleet is mostly Battery-Electric & Hybrid-Electric to help lower emissions.

The buses used are specially wrapped and are mainly all-electric and hybrid-electric buses and will only stop at dedicated R-Line platforms only. Normal daily rapid service is available all day on all R-Line Routes. Layover time is 8 minutes long after arriving and stopping at the dedicated route destination platform completely before the bus is allowed to depart from each end of the route after the bus has waited for exactly 8 minutes. Buses are never allowed to leave early for any reason.
